A core value of this project was to maintain the magic and authenticity of the community. Our casting call included real Muttville staff, volunteers, and families. The only casted canine was our hero dog, Scout. All other dogs were real Muttville dogs, available for adoption. (You’ll notice the animated animals are based on our pack of real mutts.)
The story begins as an animated reality. Our canine hero, Scout, finds himself abandoned, but not alone.
Our human hero, Maddie, uses Facebook Groups for her good-samaritan mission to save the pups.
Facebook leads the pack to Muttville, where they find warm shelter, a friendly pack, lots of love, and a forever family.
